Sumi-e is the Japanese art of painting with ink and water, where a single stroke has to carry the whole gesture.

That is the logic of this silk pajama set. Indigo washes bleed across cream silk, vibrant koi turn mid-current, and lotus blossoms open among fine, hand-drawn line work. Because the silk is high-shine and fluid, the composition never sits still - it shifts as you move, the way ink behaves on wet paper.

The shirt is deliberately plain against all of that: a classic pointed collar, a clean button placket, elongated sleeves closed with wide structural cuffs. The wide-leg trousers are high-waisted and cut long, falling in one unbroken palazzo column that pools at the feet. Wear them together, or apart - the shirt with denim, the trousers with something fitted.
